2018 has come and gone but, the memories will last forever. Thought I’d do a recap of my favorite moments + my favorite things of 2018!
my favorite memories of 2018:
- NFL playoff game
- disneyland the first week of 2018
- shot a gun for the first time (I’ve got a good aim!)
- denver with my momma
- new york with jared
- traveled to new jersey for the day
- celebrated my golden birthday
- got upgraded to first class
- disneyland (again!!) in september
- maintained my status as reigning champ of toy story midway mania
- celebrated our 2 year anniversary
- new orleans with family + friends
- lost over 35 lbs
- launched my blog (!!!!!)
my favorite things of 2018:
- This multi balm is constantly transferred into whatever purse I’m using. You can use it as lipstick, blush or both! It’s infused with aloe vera, shea butter and rose hip oil. You can sometimes find it at Target.
- Not kidding when I say that I have loved and been a repeat buyer of this perfume since high school. I am terrible at describing scents so, this is taken straight from the website — [Malaia perfume has been a favorite for over 10 years. Feminine notes of soft petals and sheer woods will have you dreaming of the beach and California sunsets.] It is a spot on description!
- Discovering Zenni Optical! I got some dang cute glasses for a steal of a deal. Like, I’m talking $50 for glasses with prescription lenses! I wear contacts daily but, I like to have a pair of glasses to wear at night. I have ordered 3 different pairs of glasses from Zenni and have been impressed every time. On the website, you can upload a photo of your face to see how the glasses will look.
- This neck pillow is a traveling game changer. This travel pillow is kind of like a heavy scarf with just enough support to keep your neck in the perfect position. BEWARE: your husband may or may not take pictures of you while you are wearing this neck pillow. You have been warned. It’s 100% still worth it!
- These Apple Air Pods are worth the investment! They last more than 24 hours listening to music and I love how small they are. No more untangling headphone cords.
- My husband is for sure going to make fun of me for this one. This book was one of the few books I read in 2018. I couldn’t. put it down! I’m usually into romance novels but, my older brother convinced me to give this series a try + I’m so glad I did.
- Once you go with a loopy case, you don’t go back! Can I get a hallelujah for no more dropping your phone on your face while laying in bed?
- This charging stand keeps your nightstand looking tidy. It has a spot for your iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch! I got it as a gift for Christmas in 2017 and have loved using it all year long.
- We added a second Echo to our home last year. The Echo is a smart speaker that connects to Alexa. You can play music, read the news, set alarms and timers, answer questions, make grocery lists, and more.
- One word. Dermaplaning! These Tinkle razors make your skin as smooth as a baby’s bottom because they exfoliate your dead skin and peach fuzz on your face. DO NOT attempt to use without a mirror (speaking from experience, obviously).
I am so excited for the new year! So sad to see this year go though! So many great times in 2018!
It’s always sad for a new year to come and go — I won’t really freak out until it’s 2020. I’m going to feel so old!
You accomplished so much in 2018! Way to go!
Wow! Thanks so much! 2018 was a great year!
I think I’m going to have to get that charging stand. I love how it looks and I love keeping things tidy and in order. My number one favorite of 2018 was the birth of my second baby boy 🙂
Awh! Congrats on the new baby boy! How exciting! The charging stand is so great! It is so convenient to charge everything!
Sounds like a wonderful year! I had a really good year as well, looking forward to 2019! Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best!

Happy New Year to you as well! 2019 here we come!
so happy u launched your blog last year, it is so cute!!
Thanks so much!! It’s been a month since I first launched it!
Those sound like such memorable experiences! And I have to try some of your favorite things!
Yes, you will totally have to!
This is such a great list. There were a lot of great things I am thankful for in 2018. More recently, I completed my training to become a foster parent. I think that was the highlight of my year.
Wow! That’s amazing. That’s such an accomplishment – sounds like 2019 will be a great year for you!
Looks like you had a lot of fun this year! My favorite this year was completing hunter safety, getting my hunting license, and going on my first hunt with my Dad.
i love these types of 2018 reviews! You did so much last year! Hope this year is even better!
Yes – I hope so! Hope you have a fabulous new year! XO
Great list ! My only question is about the tinkle razors do they promote hair growth from the shaving the skin? I have always heard the more you shave the more you have too, so I would worry about that in the long run, but it could just be an old wives tale.
I feel like that is definitely just a myth. I haven’t noticed any extra hair coming back! Great question though.
Wow! You did have an amazing year! 35 pounds is impressive! This year we gained a new grandson in January, visited Ireland in March, went to Disney World in May, August, and October, had a daughter graduate from law school and pass the bar exam, and more. It was full of wonderful things, but also had some sad and scary moments, as well.
Oh my goodness! Sounds like you have an amazing year. You must live pretty close to disneyworld if you went that much. How fun! So many exciting things happened for your family. Have a great New Year!
