January is always the perfect month to make a list of goals for the New Year! One of my goals this year is to continue personalizing my home, which is why I have teamed up with a group of bloggers to take the $100 Room Challenge hosted by Erin of Lemons, Lavender, & Laundry. For the challenge, you get 4 weeks and only $100 to complete a room makeover. Erin’s hope for this challenge is that you find some inspiration, and realize that, even if you don’t have thousands of dollars to spend, you can still create a personalized space that you’ll love.

Jared and I have lived in our home for just over two years — I still don’t feel like I’ll ever be done decorating it! One space in my home, that I’ve always wanted to tackle, is my guest bathroom. My guest bathroom has formica countertops which aren’t bad but, the linoleum floors I just can’t stand. My hope is that I can update my guest bathroom into a farmhouse style bathroom for only $100.

Some things I want to accomplish within the $100 budget:

  • adding shelves and decor above toilet
  • paint the bright silver hardware to a brushed silver
  • update the flooring
  • add a frame around the mirror
  • replace towel bar

I have never taken this Room Challenge before so, I’m not sure how much of my list I will be able get done within the spending cap of $100. But, I’m excited to get creative and attempt to transform this bathroom into a farmhouse style bathroom! Stay tuned for a progress update in a couple weeks, and the final reveal of my bathroom in 4 weeks!
