Is there anything better than a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies? Absolutely not! I must warn you though, if you try this recipe, you will become addicted!

To be honest, I can’t even believe I am posting my highly coveted chocolate chip cookie recipe on here! It falls right in line with the krabby patty secret formula — in the sense that you just DON’T give it out! Jared was totally shocked I was going to post the recipe on here! Just know, I must reaaaaally love you guys! Let me know if you try these cookies – I promise you’ll never want any other chocolate chip cookie recipe again!

first – gather all your ingredients! next, we are going to beat the melted butter with sugars until it’s creamy. you can hand mix or use a stand mixer.

add vanilla and the egg – beat on low speed 10-15 seconds. (If you beat too long you will have stiff cookies.)

add flour, baking soda and salt. mix until crumble forms.

use hands to press crumble into dough. add chocolate chips. roll into 12 balls (or 9 large) place on cookie sheet.

bake 9-11 minutes until cookies look puffy, dry and barely golden. DO NOT OVERBAKE!

You won’t regret trying this recipe! Warning: you WILL become addicted to these cookies!

  • 8 T salted butter
  • 1/2 C white sugar
  • 1/4 C packed light brown sugar
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 C flour
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 3/4 C chocolate chips
  1. preheat oven to 350°

    microwave butter for approx 40 seconds to just barely melt it.

    using mixer beat butters with sugars until creamy.

    add vanilla and the egg – beat on low speed – 10 to 15 seconds.

    add flour, baking soda and salt. mix until crumble forms. use hands to press crumble into dough.

    add chocolate chips – mix with hands.

    roll into 12 ball (or 9 large) place on cookie sheet.

    bake 9-11 minutes until cookies look puffy, dry and barely golden. DO NOT OVERBAKE!

    Let them cool for a good 30 minutes (…if you can wait that long!).

You can also use chocolate chunks or do half and half of chunks/chips.
